My practice involves mixed media. I am drawn to bringing awareness of complex realities
through meditative images.
This image is from a series: ‘Silent Voice’, a project I undertook during the Pandemic in the form of a book, for which I was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Photographic Society.
The limited-edition publication pays homage to my beautiful late mother-in-law’s inner,
complex Alzheimer’s world, giving us an essence of the woman she was. It reveals how her embedded memories were triggered. The semi abstract images invite the viewers to look deeper, reflecting on their own memories. Her untold stories touch on migration, humanity and a sense of belonging.
