Being awarded a Fellowship from the Royal Photographic Society for my Artist Book, Silent
Voice prompted me to share the work with a wider audience. Silent Voice makes visible the
invisibility of my mother-in-law, Ramaba’s Alzheimer’s.
‘I was your childhood friend. You gave me your daughter.’ These words of Ramaba, sit next
to one of many enigmatic images, inviting the viewers to look deeply – posing questions.
Silent Voice reveals how I managed to trigger her deeply embedded, fractured memories.
The publication is about an individual but can be applied to all affected by Alzheimer’s.
The books are for sale with all profits going towards Alzheimer’s Research.
