Kate Wentworth

In Spain: I travel to Spain several times a year to visit my daughter who lives in Córdoba. These three pictures are some impressions of old Spain – they are interiors, linked by the common theme of a window. The man at his desk is in an office at the entrance of a church. He works on his papers without the aid of a computer or smart phone, in a cool room sheltered from the hot sunlight outside. The sewing machine is a glimpse of the past. It is in the Málaga museum of traditional life and customs, in a beautifully restored 400 year-old building. The lace curtains (taken in Lugo, Galicia) are modern, though very much in a traditional style, and the softer light outside comes from a street lamp.
